Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form or by booking a consultation appointment directly through our online platform, fieldsandfeelings.janeapp.com.
All online intake forms must be completed and signed prior to the start of therapy, or we can do them together at the beginning of your first session. However, we recommend completing these forms ahead of time to maximize session time and begin reflecting on your goals and personal history.
-
No, many of our clients do not have a consultation appointment. You may feel ready to get started and jump into things. If you’re ready, you can go right ahead and book a full session rather than a consultation.
-

Our work here at Fields and Feelings is typically covered by most insurance companies. You can inquire with your provider by asking if your plan covers “Canadian Certified Counsellors”, or “professional members of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association”.
However, we do not offer direct billing and the client is responsible for ensuring appropriate coverage and requesting reimbursement. Our digital receipts include all necessary information for insurance submission.
-
Cancellations can be made by emailing: Jessica@fieldsandfeelings.ca. Additionally, if you’re feeling sick but wishing to attend, virtual sessions are offered in replacement of an in-person appointment without additional fee.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice or no-show will result in charges:
First occurrence: Warning
Second occurrence: 50% of the session fee
Subsequent Occurrences: 100% of the session fee
If you’re feeling symptomatic but well enough, we can switch an in-person appointment to video.
There is no cancellation fee due to illness or a genuine emergency.

Yes. If your values are important to you, they are important to me. Counselling does result in self-changes, but the goal is to become our true self and maintain the values which truly matter to us. I have experienced and worked with many different cultures, so I truly appreciate every individual and perspective. If you have any concerns, please be sure to bring this up in session together.
